Indianapolis Colts Face Atlanta Falcons in German Capital – NFL Week 10
Hello, fussball enthusiasts. How are you? Everything good I trust on this fine early start to the tenth week coming directly from Deutschland. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be precise where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the powerful Colts (7-2) face off against the Falcons (3-5). This marks the fifth matchup played on German soil and the first in the nation’s capital.
Pregame Key Moments
As sparkly jackets go that is an real standout from the Olympic figure skater on the opening flip. A minor slip from the broadcast team there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the presenter with an accidentally live microphone.
Well, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have elected to receive. The Colts' offense will be taking the field soon. Will the QB bounce back after a difficult performance in their last game?
In a similar vein the vocalist performing the US national anthem has some of the biggest shoulder embellishments you are ever likely to see. Loving the sartorial choices today. We are almost underway after a choral number for the German anthem. Classy.
Opening Period Gameplay
Scoreless at 13:30 in the first
Here we go! And we have early drama after the Colts running back receives a short throw, gains 15 yards on the outside to the right side then fumbles … only for his offensive lineman to recover the fumble with the ball retrieval. Colts are in Falcons territory already.
Colts 0-0 Falcons 10:51, 1st quarter
And the excitement continues as the Indianapolis attempts a fourth-down conversion. The risk doesn't work out as Josh Downs fails to catch a fastball from Jones. Prior to the failed attempt Jessie Bates put a huge hit on tight end Mo Alie-Cox. The Falcons have come out fighting on defense as they attempt to end their three-game losing streak. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!
Touchdown Updates
TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-0 Falcons 8:36, 1st quarter
Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was wide open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That play rather sums up the first round pick’s career to date.
So far, so disappointing but it only gets worse for the Falcons as they cough the ball back to the Colts on the 23-yard mark. Michael Penix Jr is sacked and fumbles the football.
An agile 22-yard rush from the Colts receiver sets Jonathan Taylor up to easily run for a touchdown on the next snap. The placekicker skews the extra point wide. Oops.
TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-7 Falcons 6:07, 1st quarter
Penix Jr puts the fumble behind him by marching his Falcons down the field for a score of their own. Drake London makes some substantial catches to put them in the red zone then the seas part for the running back to run untouched into the end zone through the heart of the field for a 13-yard gain. The running back finishes it off for a one-yard touchdown of his own. The Falcons take the lead.
Additional Week 10 Matchups

What a feast. I’m planting my flag on Minnesota and Baltimore playing out the game of the day.
