Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt able to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has gone by that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started spending more time together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the film, commenting that he cannot recall "one day without joy".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a distinct essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge ruled to block the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate placed a embargo on the cases to restrict the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" associated with the active case.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a official listing noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public personalities expressed different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making divisive remarks that were widely condemned by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the critics last week. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and implied they showed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by proposing that an aide could have acted when the impulse to weigh in on the passing was made.
